....Albertslund Gymnasium erstattes med nyopførte Vestskoven Gymnasium
NEXT Uddannelse København har besluttet, at det nuværende Albertslund Gymnasium skal erstattes af et nyt og tidssvarende gymnasium, der er navngivet Vestskoven Gymnasium. Gymnasiet opføres på Kongsholmgrunden, der er centralt placeret i Albertslund Kommune.
Projektet omfatter et nyt gymnasium, der skal kunne tilbyde ungdomsuddannelse til STX, HTX, HF, HHX, EUD og 10. klasses elever. Udgangspunktet for bygningens dimensionering er i alt ca. 800 elever.
Udover opførelse af nyt byggeri skal der etableres udearealer for ophold og mulighed for kreativ udfoldelse, samt områder til cykelparkering, p-anlæg, affaldsgård, sekundære bygninger til gartner-/pedelfunktion.
Visionen er at skabe et gymnasium, der giver gode rammer for et ”lære og værested”, som anskues som en del af et åbent samfund og deraf understøtter en gymnasiekultur med fokus på individuelt ansvar og demokratisk dannelse. Et sted, som er behageligt at være med rumligt gode betingelser for at skabe samhørighed mellem lærer og elever.

Albertslund Gymnasium will be replaced by the newly built Vestskoven Gymnasium
NEXT Education Copenhagen has decided that the current Albertslund Gymnasium will be replaced by a new and up-to-date gymnasium named Vestskoven Gymnasium. The high school will be built on Kongsholm grounds, centrally located in Albertslund Municipality.
The project includes a new high school that will be able to offer youth education to STX, HTX, HF, HHX, EUD and 10th grade students. The starting point for the building's dimensions is a total of approx. 800 students.
In addition to the construction of new buildings, outdoor areas must be established for living and opportunities for creative expression, as well as areas for bicycle parking, parking facilities, waste yard, secondary buildings for gardener/janitor function.
The vision is to create a high school that provides a good framework for a "learning and living place", which is seen as part of an open society and therefore supports a high school culture with a focus on individual responsibility and democratic education. A place that is pleasant to be in with good spatial conditions to create cohesion between teacher and students.
