....BIG-tegnede kaktustårne med 500 ungdomsboliger
Kaktustårnene på Kalvebod Brygge i København, er tegnet af det internationalt kendte arkitektfirmaet Bjarke Ingels Group, BIG, og rummer 495 ungdomsboliger plus fællesarealer samt arealer til butikker, fitnesscenter og caféer med videre.
Projektets to boligtårne er hhv. 60 og 80 meter har en sekskantet kerne med firkantede dæk som nærmest vrides rundt og skaber niveauopdelte altaner. De to skarpe bygninger bliver et nyt markant fikspunkt på Kalvebod Brygge placeret tæt ved Dybbølsbro og umiddelbart overfor Fisketorvets Shopping Center.

BIG-designed cactus towers with 500 youth homes
The cactus towers at Kalvebod Brygge in Copenhagen were designed by the internationally known architectural firm Bjarke Ingels Group, BIG, and contain 495 youth homes plus common areas as well as areas for shops, a fitness center and cafes, etc.
The project's two residential towers are respectively 60 and 80 meters have a hexagonal core with square decks which almost twist around and create level-divided balconies. The two sharp buildings will become a new, distinctive focal point at Kalvebod Brygge, located close to Dybbølsbro and directly opposite Fisketorvets Shopping Center.
